I may have missed my January update for you, but it wasn’t because of lack of shareable news. There’s been quite the flurry in Calgary; and I don’t just mean the weather!
The market has been straight up crazy the last few weeks; a flurry of buyers driven by low interest rates and a very limited active listing supply. The result, A busy & fast paced market we haven’t seen in many years. January sales were the highest they have been for the month since 2014 (40.6% year to date)! It’s hard to say if this is here to stay or if we will see an increased volume of new listings come spring to balance the market, but one thing is certain. If you have been on the fence on whether to list your home or not, the time could be right now!
