Happy February!
We’re officially one month in to 2020 and I have to say, the real estate market is starting to pick up from the holidays. I am feeling energized and ready for the year and to be honest, am craving spring! But, February in Calgary has some great things to offer. The YYC Hot Chocolate Fest for one, where hot chocolate lovers will relish in drinking decadent variations of the classic winter beverage at 75 restaurants in Calgary. Also, it’s the month of Valentine’s Day.
Although I am not a huge fan of this ‘holiday’, I do like the message and the thought behind it. I think every day should be Valentine’s Day. Why do we need one day to appreciate our loved ones? But my 3 girls love it and I am all in favour of being their Valentine. Bring on the chocolate and roses, I’ll be buying for my 3 Valentine’s. Have a great month everyone, and we’ll see you in March!

January Newsletter
Happy 2020 I hope you are having a wonderful start to the new decade. Calgary sure is testing us with this weather. But, the silver lining is that according to Environment Canada historical data, this cold stretch is not breaking any temperature records. In 1911, a cold snap saw temperatures plunge to lows of –42.2 on Jan. 12 and 13th. This was a time before cars, if people could afford them, came equipped with functional heaters. The engine block heater also wasn’t invented until 1947 ( Source)
We may be under Extreme Cold Warning’s the last few weeks, but the year is starting off hot! New Charles agents, new marketing implementations, some awesome clients on their dream home search, and that’s just scraping the surface. It’s going to be a great year!
See you in February!

Happy November! This decade is drawing to a close, who else thought this year just flew by? This month we continue to hustle and as our second location opens on 14th Street , our agents have been busier than ever.
What’s also exciting is that December is almost here and with the final month of the year, comes Christmas! I love all the holiday buzz and as our family grows, we are even more ready to start planning and prepping early.
We are very excited to start planning for 2020, and boy, is it going to be a great one. New marketing plans and proposals, even better marketing service for my clients and some amazing appreciation events in the works. Stay tuned!

October Newsletter
Hello October!Every
year I welcome Fall with open arms. I love this time of year in Calgary
and find the changing of seasons not just beautiful, but
thought-provoking. I start to reminisce on the past year and am
beginning to think about the new year (can you believe it’s going to be
2020- a new decade)! It’s never too early to start goal setting, to start implementing new business procedures and fun marketing strategies… OK, I can’t get ahead of myself… we still have 3 months left this year! Also, this month brings a whole lot of gratitude. I wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving and am very thankful for all my clients, my friends and of course, my family. Enjoy the Fall season everyone and have a fun & safe Halloween! Cheers, |
September Newsletter
Happy September…And just like that, it was back to school. Although this summer went by in the blink of an eye (doesn’t it always?), there’s something comforting about the changing of seasons. Getting back to the routine and swing of things also means setting new goals. At the turning of the seasons, this comes at a great time, in my opinion.
I love Fall; it means sweater weather and pumpkin spice lattes, cozy fires and my kids playing in the leaves. In the hustle and bustle of your lives, try to enjoy the colours of autumn. It’s my favourite part! Well that, and pumpkin spice everything!

August Newsletter
August… Is it just me, or is this summer just flying by at lightening speed? Have no fear, we have the month of August left and that’s plenty of time for soaking in the sun, enjoying the heat and experiencing some awesome activities Calgary has to offer. Lots of them focused on the great outdoors.
Let’s face it, we are still in store for some decent weather and in YYC we have to expect the unexpected. Especially weather wise.
The forecast is sunshine for the next several weeks, so grab the kids and enjoy!
Here’s to the remainder of summer, and the best August yet.

July Newsletter
July is here! It’s the month we’ve been yearning for, the month of Stampede, sunny weather and summer break for the kiddos. This month, Calgary comes alive! I love the energy of this city during stampede week; people are excited, kids are energized and the hospitality skyrockets. It’s such a great tourism boost to our amazing province and is a wonderful way for us to be recognized.
Did you know Guy Weadick ran the first Calgary Stampede in 1912? A second Stampede was not held in 1913 in Calgary. Weadick took his show on the road to Winnipeg. But economic downturn hit Western Canada and dimmed the prospects for holding another one in 1914. Then, in August 1914, the First World War broke out. The history of this iconic show highlights Calgary’s perseverance, spirit and energy to celebrate and have fun.
Head on over to the grounds, enjoy some pancake breakfasts and see Calgary at its best!
Here’s to a wonderful month…
Cheers,
Sunshine, summer and outdoor festivities!
Finally we are approaching a glorious Calgary summer. This is my favourite time of the year, the city truly comes alive! The season of outdoor festivals, markets, barbecues and day-trips to the mountains is here and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
With the Calgary Stampede just around the corner, I am in full summer swing, and that includes the continued spurt in sales city-wide. Although inventory levels eased and sales increased in May 2019, it wasn’t quite enough to suppress the levels of supply that the months have accumulated.
I wish you and your families a wonderful June!
Cheers,
May snow brings boost in sales
Who are we kidding, are we really surprised about that dumping of snow we received last week? And in the blink of an eye, it’s gone and sunshine soars through the forecast. As we’re nearing the middle of spring, the market is showing some slight signs of recovery with boosted sales this past month. There’s a boost in showings and offers and there seems to be significantly more movement in the market. Questions? You know where to reach me!
Cheers,
TIMING IS EVERYTHING. BUYERS? INVESTORS? THINKING ABOUT BUYING A HOME IN 2019?
The market is presenting some very appealing opportunities for those buyers looking to move up or move into a price range that maybe wasn’t realistic in years past. When opportunity knocks it’s important to be informed and try to be ahead of the curve.
